🍎 Fruit description

A medium-sized apple, flattened and regular in shape. The skin is rough, thick, and yellowish-brown to reddish-brown in color, sometimes slightly ridged. Its characteristic surface is reminiscent of chestnut bark, hence its name. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, crisp, and juicy. It has a well-balanced sweet-tart flavor with pronounced aromas and a subtle nutty note.

October. Harvesting takes place when the fruit easily detaches from the tree. The harvest is generally regular and abundant.

Excellent shelf life of 3 to 5 months in a cool, well-ventilated cellar. Best enjoyed from November to March. The apple improves with age and develops its aromas.

Self-sterile variety requiring a pollinator. Good pollinators: Reine des Reinettes, Belle de Boskoop, Jacques Lebel, Reinette Clochard, Patte de Loup. Mid-season flowering.
