The varieties are tested under challenging conditions before being offered for sale. Since 2015, the mother plants have been subjected to the constraints of dry, well-drained soil. A 5cm layer of topsoil and a slate subsoil make it extremely dry. Only varieties that adapt to these conditions are selected to ensure resistance to periods of drought.
