Napoléon Cherry – Pinkish-yellow Bigarreau, one of the most beautiful French table cherries.
Fruit Description: Large, heart-shaped Bigarreau cherry. Golden yellow skin with a characteristic pinkish-red blush. White flesh, very firm, crisp, and sweet, with low acidity. Excellent taste quality.
Use: An excellent table variety. Ideal for fresh consumption, desserts, and confectionery. Its firmness makes it perfect for processing into cherries in syrup and jams.
Harvest: June, mid-season variety. Fruit should be harvested at full maturity for optimal flavor.
Storage: Good post-harvest shelf life thanks to its firm flesh. Stores for 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator.
Pollination: Self-sterile variety. Pair with Burlat, Van, or Summit for effective cross-pollination.
Disease Resistance: Very good general resistance. A vigorous and robust tree, well-suited to French terroirs.
