The Wranja Giant quince is a traditional variety from the Balkans, renowned for its hardiness and adaptability to difficult soils. This hardy tree produces large golden fruits, ideal for jams, quince paste, and culinary preparations.
Tree Characteristics: Vigorous and hardy variety, not very susceptible to diseases. Prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Regular and productive growth.
Fruit: Large quinces with a beautiful golden color, firm and fragrant flesh. Characteristic flavor, rich in natural pectin.
Use: Jam, quince paste, jelly, compote. Excellent for traditional preparations and regional cuisine.
Harvest: October-November. Fruits should be picked when fully ripe for best flavor.
Pollination: Self-fertile. A single tree is enough to produce. However, it will always be more productive when accompanied by other quince varieties.
Disease Resistance: Very good natural resistance to common quince diseases.
Form of Sale: 1-year-old bare-root seedling.
