Pear tree (Pyrus Communis) – Malier

Fruit description: Medium to large pear, elongated and regular in shape. Golden yellow skin when ripe, sometimes slightly pink in the sun. Fine, juicy and sweet flesh with a balanced and delicate flavor. Melting texture characteristic of good table varieties.

Use: Excellent table variety. Delicious fruits to be enjoyed fresh, ideal for desserts and culinary preparations. Excellent taste quality.

Harvest: Harvest in September-October depending on climatic conditions. Pick slightly before full ripeness to optimize preservation.

Storage: Good storage capacity. Fruits can be stored for several weeks in cool and airy conditions. Progressive ripening after harvest.

Pollination: Partially self-fertile variety but optimal production with cross-pollination. Associate with other pear or nashi trees to ensure regular and abundant fruiting.

Disease resistance: Good general resistance. Vigorous and hardy tree, suitable for Norman and Breton soils.
