Golden Gage Plum – The benchmark plum, considered the best gage plum in the world.

Fruit Description: Medium to large plum (average 4 cm in diameter), round in shape. Golden yellow skin, smooth and shiny. Yellow flesh, tender and juicy, sweet and aromatic. Exceptional, melt-in-your-mouth, delicate flavor. The absolute benchmark plum.

Use: Excellent fresh eating plum. Ideal for desserts, jams, tarts, and brandies. Its natural sweetness makes it the perfect fruit for all preparations.

Harvest: August, mid-season variety. Very productive and consistent.

Storage: Stores for 2 to 3 weeks in cold storage. Consume quickly to enjoy its full flavor.

Pollination: Excellent pollinator for other plum varieties. Partially self-fertile, but optimal production with cross-pollination.

Disease Resistance: Good general resistance. Vigorous and hardy tree, not very susceptible to common diseases.

History: Ancient French variety, cultivated since the 16th century. Named in homage to Claude de France, wife of Francis I. It has become the global benchmark for fine dessert plums.
