Stanley Plum – Blue damson-type plum, ideal for prunes and jams.

Fruit Description: Medium to large plum, elongated oval shape. Dark blue-purple skin, covered with a white bloom. Yellow-green flesh, firm and juicy, sweet with a slight acidity. Freestone.

Use: An exceptionally versatile variety. Ideal for making dried prunes, jams, compotes, and pies. Can also be eaten fresh.

Harvest: September, late variety. Very productive and consistent.

Storage: Excellent storage capability, especially after drying. Stores for 3 to 4 weeks in cold storage.

Pollination: Partially self-fertile variety. Production is improved with cross-pollination (Reine Claude Dorée, Oullins).

Disease Resistance: Very good general resistance. Vigorous and hardy tree, not very susceptible to common diseases.

History: American variety selected at the Geneva Experiment Station (New York) in 1912. Very popular in Europe for its productivity and the quality of its fruit for processing.

Sold as a one-year-old bare-root whip. 100% on-site production, certified organic (AB and Nature & Progrès labels). Delivery January-March.
